A PRIDE Award is a nice way to honor teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, office staff, food service workers, custodial staff, bus drivers…any of the many amazing people in our school district who make your student’s education a special one.

Each PRIDE Award costs a minimum donation of $20, which is a tax-deductible donation to the Dewitt Public Schools Foundation for teacher grants.

When you purchase a PRIDE award, your honored teacher or staff member will receive a personalized certificate to remember your appreciation, and a paw lapel pin to wear with pride. The DPS Foundation will receive $20 to use toward its support of Dewitt Schools. In addition, your gift will be recognized on our website.

PRIDE awards can be purchased at any time of the year … anytime you want to say, “Thank you!” for a job well done.

One of our teacher grants awarded to Mrs. Cammie Jones by the DeWitt Public Schools Foundation has allowed three classes of fourth-graders to raise quail in their classrooms. The grant funded the purchase of a third incubator, so that each class can learn about incubation and witness the chicks hatching. This week, the birds started hatching, and the students can barely contain their excitement! Students will raise the birds until maturity (about 6 weeks), complete independent and group projects related to their learning about birds, and culminate their experience with a series of events fondly called the "Quail Olympics."
