Staff Appreciation Week Wrap-up!!

THURSDAY at DMS was a little quieter with the 8th graders on a field trip. There was no hurrying to get a place in the drop-off line. The only real fight was between Staff and their QDOBA Bar! Staff won.
*Nick & Renae, you are the real MVPs! IYKYK!!!

FRIDAY we tamed back the memes (sort of) and made the focus our full appreciation! We combined the notes students wrote last Friday with the many submitted online by students and parents - and our staff was showered with notes of gratitude today!

Thanks to the many donations we recieved, notes people wrote, and the volunteers who made it all happen! Special shoutout to; Monica Eddy, Katie Kiter, Krista Jo Howard & Jay Lou!
*just like Middle School - it was a bit chaotic - but we made it all work and achieved our goal - bring some laughs and show some appreciation!

DMS Staff is simply the best.

How has Staff Appreciation Week been going?! Take a look!

FRIDAY we brought the chaos and sarcasm to DMS with a little meme-decor throughout the school and Staff Lounge.
*What Do You Meme: Teacher Edition? 1000% a requirement and possibly the inspiration for the theme!

MONDAY we partnered with Tailgaters, Dunkin' Donuts, Sunoco - DeWitt to serve up some fresh donuts & hot coffee.
*We cannot guarantee those drinks were hot by the time the Staff had a moment to sip 'em. Because..... Mondays. Am I right?!

TUESDAY our favorite Mediterranean joint Pita Way (DeWitt) generously donated an amazing spread for our staff!
*The PTSA also gifted the staff some new "drip" - if you know, you know!

WEDNESDAY is all about the "We're halfway through the week" vibes. An 'Energy On the Go' Bar seemed appropriate.
*Staff knows Staff best. We're encouraging a little peer-to-peer encouragement with "Most Likely To" cards circulating the building!

We have a fun event taking place at DMS this Friday for interested 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. If your student is interested, please have them fill out the google form sign up sent to their email 😊.

Note: This event is being organized and hosted by an 8th Grade Impact Project group. Mrs. Bobeda will be present to supervise.

Class of 2030, in case you missed the email from the school or haven't made your way to the "Class of" Facebook group, it's last call...

Traditonally, the PTSA has organized 8th grade T-shirts to help offset the cost of Farewell, making the dance free for everyone!

We hope 8th graders will all wear their shirts on Friday, May 29th, before changing into their Dance "drip" later that evening ;)
