Roots to Riches meeting with bring together Chapter Meeting Alumni meeting with a focus on CDE and LDE beginning at 5:45 with dinner from Buzzy’s
Ag leadership class doing a monthly newsletter, LIfestock judging team currently in Louisville going to Denver in January.
FFA Member update- The Basketball spreadsheet is out and going strong Taylor ,Ava, and Isaabeller Mayer are working together with Ava and Isabella moving forward to take it over
Basketball Concessions are starting. First two games are Saturday November 22 candy has been purchased in ag shop fridge Looking to extend some more drink options in future and possible addition of fruit to the menu . Denise will do the grocery shopping for perishables
Chuck Toy show updates new signs being purchased,amount will be 30 or 50 depending on price .
Carson and the Bator’s will work together on a possible facebook ad for the toy show More to come . Working on a qr code as well

Thank you to a generous donor we will be able to sell bottles of Water for a $1.00 again at concessions.

Advisor Report

Thank you for your help with Farm Progress Show, everyone had a great time, Students are asking to go again next year

State Dairy Judging Placed 8th overall, 60 poinsettias are currently in the green house, Soils invitation is September 16th taking 8 students, Greenhand Night has been rescheduled to November 6th, Chapter Picture is the Friday September 19th at 9 am Greenhand fire up will Be September 22nd taking 11 students. Farm Safety Day will be September 24th for all fourth graders. This will be an all-day event this year with 14 stations. Serving Pizza, Cookies and Water. Home Coming parade is Thursday September 25th all our welcome to ride the Chapters Float. District Soils is on September 30th, taking 8 students and 2 teams. Fruit Sales will Run October 1st -November 3rd.

Feed the Farmers October 9th 11-1 at River Valley They are providing the food and supplies, and the chapter is providing the volunteers

Middle School Ag Day is October 10th for all 8th grade students. Kirkwood Livestock Judging is October 14th taking 14 students

Thoughts From Mrs., Grantz, would it be possible to get a can box for the shop, The watering System box in the shop is not working can we get that fixed since we have poinsettias are in? Thoughts on asking Ketelsen to donate the use of a camper for Clinton County Ag Teachers to use during the fair to change and have a place to have a break in.

Skylar and Mrs., Grantz hosted a chill and chat night Which turned into a fundraiser and $70.00 was made for the chapter. Skyler Introduced a Why box at the event and at the September meeting asking students to write down there why to join FFA. Responses are still coming in range from wanting to learn their siblings, and parents were in FFA, leadership opportunities, and career development.

The Booster will supply a meal at the National convention 11 students and Mrs. Grantz are attending, motioned by Chuck Peahl, second by Bill Clark. 12 students are wanting to order coats it was encouraged to let the booster know if a student needs help purchasing.

Basketball Concession dates are set. Karson and Molly will be ordering Pop and Gatorade. October Meeting we will make a candy order and other menu items. Denise is willing to do Costco and Sam’s Runs.

New Business

Dave and Chuck are looking into purchasing new signage for toy show and getting signage up sooner this year they will also be looking into prices for a commemorative tractor to sell at show Toy show is Saturday March 14th.

April FFA Boosters Minutes
The April 21, 2025 meeting of the FFA Boosters was called to order at 7 by President Steve Diedrich.
The secretary's report was read and approved by Karson Smith, second by Mike Goodall.
The treasurer's report of was given and approved by Chuck Peahl, second by Karson Smith.
Advisor/Chapter reports: There is still need for some chaperone volunteers on Monday, April 28 from
8-noon to supervise students on Give Back/Kick Back day as they work on various projects in DeWitt.
State convention went well, twenty five students attended. Many earned Iowa Degrees, took tests,
competed in events, volunteered with courtesy corps, and sang in the choir. The chapter is a National
chapter finalist and earned an Ambassador award.
Memorials: We have received another memorial from Darwin Andresen's family. Mrs. Grantz has
bought a livestock tattoo kit with part of the funds. We will check with Mrs. Grantz about other chapter
needs/projects for more of the money.
Toy Show: Remaining bills were submitted to be paid
Bowling night: About 12-13 students and their families attended. Seemed to be successful and
everyone had a good time. Will plan on doing it again.
Scholarship: There were four scholarship applications received and reviewed. Karson Smith moved
and Mike Goodall second to allocate money for distribution for scholarships this year. Motion passed.
Scholarships will be presented at the chapter banquet and senior awards day.
May 3 is the Chapter Banquet and Award Night. Starts at 6 in the atrium
Senior awards day is Tuesday, May 13 at 8:15.
Fair Sponsorship: We have received renewal information for County Fair sponsorship. Betty Diedrich
moved and Joe Martin second to sponsor the same awards/levels as we did last year. Motion passed.
The next Booster meeting will be Monday, May 19 at 7 in the Ag Room.
Joe Martin moved to adjourn the meeting and Mike Goodall was second. Meeting was adjourned at
7:50.

The February 17, 2025 FFA Boosters meeting was called to order at 7 pm by President Steve Diedrich.
The secretary's report was read and approved by Betty Diedrich, second by Joe Martin.
The treasurer's report was given and then approved by Emily Sutton, second by Drew Dunlavey.
Advisor/Chapter report: Results were given from subdistrict contest. 1 event advanced to district contest
with another event as alternate. There were an additional 3 golds, 5 silvers and 3 bronze awards. FFA
Week is 2/16-2/22, events are planned for the week with sponsored breakfasts on Wednesday and Friday.
Culver's Share night will be 2/20 with our chapter working at Culver's in Clinton from 4-7. Our chapter
will receive 10% of the days sales from the Clinton Culver's. The chapter is planning Give Back/Kick
Back on 4/28, doing community service projects around DeWitt in the morning and having a recreation
event in the afternoon. If you are able to chaperone students working in the morning, please let Mrs.
Grantz know.
We will have concessions on Saturday, February 22 at 6 for the tournament game at 7.
Toy Show: There are advertisements to run in the Observer and the February Toy Show edition of the
Collector's Journal. We have one student interested in having a table. We have gotten half of the
contracts back and still have eighteen tables available.
There will be a bowling night for the students that helped with concessions. Two hours at DeWitt Lanes
is $10-12 per person for games and equipment rental. We are able to bring in our own food. Discussion
was held and agreed that a weeknight would be better attended. Emily and Taylor will check to see if
3/27 would work for the students.
Steve will check to see if we're needed for 4-H basketball concessions on 3/15.
The next meeting will be Monday, March 17 at 7 in the Ag Room.
