Adding Donors... Saving Lives... One Campus at a Time... using the power of collegiate athletics!

The funds raised on behalf of the Foundation will help supplement Coach Talley's "Get in the Game" initiative that is sponsored by the National Marrow Donor Program - Be The Match Registry. The goal of the Foundation will be to test as many people among college campuses as possible! Together we can add donors and save lives, one campus at a time!

Today, we celebrate the power of nonprofits to create meaningful change in the lives of others.

At the Andy Talley Foundation, our mission is to improve the odds of every patient finding a life-saving blood stem cell or bone marrow donor. We do this by encouraging young, committed individuals to join the NMDP Registry, helping connect patients with the matches they need for a second chance at life.

We would like to congratulate NMDP Get in the Game (soon to be two-time!) blood stem cell donor Erik Garv as the recipient of the 2026 Vilotti Classic Gift of Life Award! Erik’s inspiring story reminded us why this mission matters.

This spring's NMDP Get in the Game (GITG) season made an incredible impact! Thanks to the incredible support of our partner schools, coaches, and volunteers, GITG events have added more than 44,000 new registrants so far this year. That momentum brings our program's all-time impact to a remarkable milestone: more than 2,200 transplants made possible because someone said yes to joining the Registry at a Get in the Game drive event!

A heartfelt thank you to the 2026 NMDP Coaches Council for an incredible year so far!

From meaningful discussions to a full agenda of impactful initiatives, the Council has been hard at work making a difference. Earlier this year, they attended the annual meeting in Austin, Texas, where members had the unique opportunity to tour the St. David's South Austin Medical Center and gain valuable insights into the life-changing work happening there.
