SAVE THE DATE - Spend Election Day off earning the Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge! Join us from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PARC for a full day of engaging activities and advancement.

Scouts will explore the rights and responsibilities of American citizens, learn about the structure and functions of our government, and discuss important national issues and civic values.

Through discussions, activities, and real-world examples, participants will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be an active and informed citizen. Scouts will complete many of the badge requirements while developing skills in citizenship, leadership, and civic engagement.

This is a great opportunity to make the most of a school holiday, advance in Scouting, and spend the day with fellow Scouts.

Happy 100th birthday, Sir David Attenborough!

You might recognize his voice from numerous wildlife videos and he was a scout too! Writer, narrator, and conservationist, he has spent his life introducing people to the animals from all around the world. 🦁🐯🐻🐺

Celebrating 100 years of Sir David Attenborough — broadcaster, natural historian, writer, and lifelong champion of nature, exploration, and curiosity. 🌍⚜️

Many people don’t realise that Sir David was a Cub Scout, Scout, and later a Senior Scout in his youth. Those early adventures in Scouting helped nurture the curiosity, resilience, and love of the natural world that would inspire generations throughout his remarkable life and career.

Reflecting on his time in Scouting, Sir David once said:

“I remember my time as a Wolf Cub very well indeed. We learned a lot of useful things and had a great deal of fun. I hope you all do too.”

Through Scouting, young people continue to experience adventure, friendship, learning, and discovery firsthand — building confidence and a lifelong respect for the world around them.
