Through our OutReach program, Wayne County Jail Outreach Ministry helps returning citizens get back on their feet, from the Mercy Market pantry stocked with groceries to a clothing closet full of options for work and everyday life.

WCJOM is proud to recognize the Bob Barker Foundation for their generous $25,000 grant supporting our InReach and OutReach programs. The Foundation’s mission of breaking the cycle of recidivism and helping formerly incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives mirrors the work we do every day inside the Wayne County Jail and alongside our reentry community.

This investment allows us to continue walking alongside individuals during incarceration and long after release, providing the spiritual support, practical resources, and community connection that make lasting change possible.

We are deeply grateful to the Bob Barker Foundation for believing in our mission and in the people we serve. ❤️

We’re proud to offer this pantry as part of WCJOM’s OutReach mission. Stocked with fresh produce, pantry staples, and everyday essentials for our neighbors in need. Every shelf here represents a community showing up for one another.

🧥🥫 From our clothing closet to our food pantry — WCJOM shows up at BOTH locations to make sure our community has what they need.

This week, we had the pleasure of walking alongside one of our clients as he received clothing and food support across our Detroit locations at both 10301 Woodward Ave, and 585 E Larned St.

At WCJOM, reentry isn’t just about getting out, it’s about having the essentials to move forward with dignity. That means a clean outfit for a job interview. A meal when resources are tight. And people in your corner every step of the way.

🤝 🚨Partner Spotlight: Malta Dental and Medical Clinic

At WCJOM, we are so grateful to share a home with an incredible organization doing life-changing work right alongside us. Malta Dental and Medical Clinic has been serving the uninsured with free, quality dental and medical care since 2004, and we are proud to be neighbors with them at the Catholic Charities Center for Works of Mercy at 10301 Woodward Ave here in Detroit.

When our clients walk through the door, they don’t just get support from us, they have access to an entire community of care. We couldn’t ask for a better partner in this building. 🙏
