CamaroStrong

CamaroStrong Camarostrong is a community of Chevy Camaro owners and enthusiasts coming together to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Camarostrong was started by the Detroit 5th Gen Camaro Club in early 2015 as a fundraising effort to benefit one of their own, Mike Strong, who was battling cancer and needed help paying his bills. Initially this was done by selling Camarostrong wristbands for $5 each with all proceeds going to Mike and his family. With incredible generosity, Ken and Kristen Lingenfelter, of Lingenfelter Performan

ce Engineering and the Lingenfelter Foundation, in conjunction with Becky Doyle from Rodger's Chevrolet got involved and made up a variety of different apparel options and donated all proceeds to the Camarostrong fund, again with all of the money going to Mike Strong. This took Camarostrong nation wide and allowed Mike's wife to focus more time on caring for him and assisted with paying the extraordinarily costly cancer treatments. Sadly, Mike lost his battle with cancer on May 16, 2015 at the all-too-young age of 52. Now Camarostrong lives on in his memory, continuing efforts to raise money for the American Cancer Society to help fight this terrible disease.
