We're thrilled to provide an important update on the donations received for the Punjab Flood Relief initiative!
The event, held on Monday, October 13th, at Ford Motor Company through the Sikh Faith-Ford Interfaith Network, was a tremendous success thanks to your incredible support.
We are delighted to announce that our fundraising efforts have been highly successful, with the total amount collected so far reaching an amazing $10,226!
In line with our commitment to full transparency, we want to share the details of how these funds will be distributed to support flood-affected farmers. We plan to assist 50 farmers in total during this phase, including 29 identified through the Agri Office and an additional 18 from Ratta Village, with the remaining farmers currently being identified.
To ensure effective and direct aid, we will not be providing cash directly. Instead, we are distributing tickets for essential supplies such as diesel, actual seeds, and fertilizer. Farmers will be directed to local seed and fertilizer stores where they can redeem these tickets and receive their supplies directly. Receipts will be issued there to track the distribution and ensure accountability.
