The Detroit Federation of Para-Professionals, Local 2350 organized to represent PreK-12 support staff in 1973 and joined national affiliate American Federation of Teachers (AFT). In conjunction we entered into the ranks of members in the division of Paraprofessionals and School Related Personnel (PSRP). Other affiliates include State Federation, AFT Michigan and Metro Detroit American Federation o

f Labor and Congress of Industrial Organization better recognized as AFL-CIO, which lobbies issues from Lansing to our Nation's Capitol. Local 2350 is the second largest AFT Local in Detroit Public Schools and Metro Detroit area Charter Schools.
