Residents of Detroit’s Mackenzie Noble neighborhood came together to demand action against ongoing break-ins, thefts, and alleged illegal activity affecting their community.
Neighbors say repeated home invasions created growing fears over public safety and quality of life. Residents also say vandals are stealing items such as water heaters, pipes, sinks, washers, and dryers from homes throughout the neighborhood. Community members alleged that a local business would retrieve the stolen items from the vandals and resell them to the public.
Residents called on city leaders and law enforcement to step up enforcement and deliver long-term solutions as they stood united for safer neighborhoods.
