Yesterday was AMAZING despite the downpour!⛈️🌧🌩⛈️ 🌩⛈️🌩⛈️🌧🌩🌧🌩⛈️🌧😡

The Lambda Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated provided blood pressure screenings and education, school physical exams, narcan training andv colorectal cancer education through Wayne State University’s BRIDGE grant, diabetes screenings and kidney disease education.

We collaborated to have free dental services from Kare mobile dental hygienist, eye exams from the Lions Foundation of Michigan and kidney disease screenings from NKF of Michigan.

We also partnered to give away backpacks
full of school supplies! There was so much more at this community event.

Thanks to the members who came out to make the health care part of this community event a success. They literally weathered the storm!

It's almost time for Adopt-A-Highway again!

We continue participate because Adopt-a-Highway programs improve the physical health of local residents by reducing harmful roadside air pollution, lowering the risk of injuries from sharp debris, preventing the spread of waterborne disease, and encouraging safe outdoor physical activity through cleaner, more appealing public walking spaces.
