Some things become second nature — but have you ever stopped to ask where they come from?

Lost keys and a quick prayer to St. Anthony. A Sign of the Cross as you pass the church. A genuflection before you take your seat.

To someone outside the Catholic faith, these may seem unfamiliar. They're often dismissed as empty ritual, superstition, or leftovers of pagan tradition — but is that truly where they come from?

Join us Wednesday for Why Catholic? as we explore:

THE UNBROKEN HABITS OF CATHOLICISM

Come discover the beauty, reason, and reverence behind the habits Catholics have carried across generations — and why these outward actions express something much deeper within.
Whether you are Catholic, belong to another Christian tradition, practice another faith, or are simply curious, you are warmly invited. No prior knowledge needed — just an open mind and your honest questions.

Same Mother. Every nation. One mission. 💙

Last night at Why Catholic?, the Capuchin Friars led us around the world as we talked ✨️ to Jesus through Mary ✨️ - from Our Lady of La Vang in Vietnam 🇻🇳 to Our Lady of Aparecida in Brazil 🇧🇷 to a wedding feast in Cana — showing how the Mother of God has drawn every generation closer to her Son.

Her last recorded words in Scripture say it all: "Do whatever He tells you." (John 2:5)

Humility. Trust. Surrender. That's the discipleship the Blessed Virgin Mary teaches us. She never keeps us for herself — she always leads us to Him. ✝️🙏🏼

From the Feast of the Assumption (August 15) to Michaelmas (September 29), the men of Knights of Columbus Council #8118 invite you to take up the ancient devotion of St. Michael's Lent — the same forty days of prayer and fasting St. Francis of Assisi kept when he received the stigmata.

In an age of spiritual battle, we don't fight alone. Join your brothers at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in prayer, asceticism, and fraternity under the protection of St. Michael the Archangel.

📧 Contact [email protected] for more information to join us this Lent.

Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio 🛡✝️

Another beautiful evening of Friday Knight Fun on the Cathedral plaza! 🌇

We had it all this time — inflatable sumo balls, badminton, co****le, kids' axe throwing, football, soccer, basketball, and a variety of games for all ages. Karaoke on the mic 🎤, s'mores by the fire 🔥, and a visit from SaintSprouts leaving everyone amazed and falling more in love with our Saints!

There's something special about laughter and community in the shadow of these spires — especially when s'mores are involved!

See you next month on Friday, August 28th — all are welcome to spend a Friday evening at the Cathedral under the summer stars ✨
