A big thank you to our incredible movement instructors!

This summer at Lafayette Greens, 17 movement classes brought 139 people outdoors to move, connect, and enjoy time in our urban garden. From yoga and Pilates to Zumba and more, your time, energy, and expertise helped make our Summer Series a success.

Thank you for helping us make healthy habits a little greener. We’re so grateful for each of you and hope to see you back in the garden next year! 🌱♥️

ROOTED IN PARTNERSHIP.

Creating a greener Detroit takes more than trees. It takes people who believe in the vision and are willing to invest, collaborate and roll up their sleeves.

Today we’re celebrating Hispanic and Latino leaders who are part of that larger network —JJ Vélez of the Gilbert Family Foundation.

Their partnership helps make it possible for The Greening of Detroit to continue planting trees, building community and creating opportunities across our city.

Because when we invest in Detroit, we help Detroit grow.
