Please join us in helping Detroit swims raise dollars to sponsor safety around water lessons to 1,800 youth this year! A $160 donation would fully fund a session of lessons along with a swim suit, swim goggles, swim cap, swim bag, and towel to be successful in the water!

Congratulations to Parrish Underwood, CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, for being recognized as one of the Michigan Chronicle's 2025 Standout Non-Profit Leaders in Southeast Michigan!

Parrish's journey with the YMCA began over 30 years ago in Atlanta, transitioning from a part-time summer role to various leadership positions. His dedication and passion have been instrumental in uplifting communities and supporting the human condition.

Returning to Detroit in November 2023 as president and CEO, Parrish has been pivotal in driving growth and development within the city and the YMCA. His commitment to philanthropy and successful fundraising efforts has positioned the organization for continued success.
