Detroit Swims

Detroit Swims Over 79% of children in low-income families have little to no swimming ability, putting our children at an unacceptable risk of drowning.

The YMCA’s Detroit Swims program is a grant and donor-funded program that teaches water safety skills to disadvantaged and/or underserved communities regardless of barriers. Detroit Swims is working to change that in Southeast Michigan.
