Great to meet today. She never knew that Detroit’s historic Chinatown had several unofficial Mayors. She was interested to learn that my dad Henry Yee was one of them and expressed a willlingness to support our project.

Bummed I had to leave before getting a chance to chat with Detroit Council Member Gabriela Santiago-Romero - District 6. She is a true champion of our work. The lines were so long.

A few members of the enjoyed a great night out last night celebrating the grand opening of in Detroit— less than a mile from Detroit’s historic Chinatown.

We ended up meeting an amazing group of people. They were so excited about our work to revitalize Detroit’s Chinatown. And one of our DCVC members spoke with Sunda's owner earlier and they were over the moon about our project. It’s so wonderful to see that the energy of our work is so infectious.

And wow is Sunda’s (modern southeast Asian) food delicious! Loved the cocktails—especially the lychee simoy! Be sure to check them out: https://www.sundanewasian.com/detroit
