Detroit Phoenix Center DPC provides youth resources such as rapid rehousing, drop-in center, life skills training, crisis support, and scholarships.

Partnering with young people, DPC drives systemic change to end youth homelessness and create lasting opportunities for success. The Detroit Phoenix Center exists to empower youth who are at-risk or currently experiencing homelessness the resources needed to improve health, wellness, and self-sufficiency.

Join us this Friday for an evening of music, dancing, community, and fun in the heart of Downtown Detroit with .

Creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship all in one room. 💡

Our Young Changemakers continue to build and develop their social enterprise, Beyond the Ashes, through hands-on learning, creative exploration, and leadership development.

Throughout the fellowship, young leaders meet weekly to strengthen their entrepreneurship and business skills while preparing for an upcoming pop-up shop this June. From designing prototypes to exploring branding, art, and storytelling, participants are gaining real-world experience while discovering new passions and possibilities within themselves.

More than anything, this space continues to be rooted in connection, growth, and creating positive environments where young people feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to dream bigger.

We’re proud of the incredible work these young leaders are creating and can’t wait to see what they continue to build, and we can’t wait to see them showcase their final designs at our Milestone Celebration this month 🧡

We heard y’all wanted a safe space downtown, and we did just that! With paint brushes, music, laughter, and a whole lot of creativity. 🎨

At our recent Art in Motion Youth Up Friday, young people gathered in Downtown Detroit to paint, connect, express themselves, and simply enjoy being in community together.

Through partnerships with local creatives and community organizations, youth had the opportunity to explore their creativity, enjoy games and activities, connect with resources, and experience a space designed with them in mind.

Moments like these remind us that when young people are given opportunities to create, connect, and be themselves, incredible things happen.

Youth Up Fridays continues to be rooted in a simple belief: young people deserve safe, welcoming spaces where they can experience joy, build community, and access opportunities that support their growth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening filled with creativity, connection, and self-expression. We can’t wait to continue creating these experiences together.

Coney dogs, jit lessons, and creative outlets… Detroit Day the DPC way. 🧡

A few weeks ago, we continued our Youth Up Fridays series with a celebration rooted in community, creativity, and all things Detroit.

From dancing with Delly and the Two Steppers to games, music, giveaways, resources, and of course free coney dogs, young people had the opportunity to connect, have fun, and simply enjoy being together downtown.

Through Youth Up Fridays, we remain committed to creating welcoming spaces where young people can safely build community, express themselves, and access resources designed to support them.

Thank you to everyone who came out, connected with us, and helped make the evening special.

At DPC, we understand that healing, support, and community care are all part of the journey.

As a wellness partner with Detroit Phoenix Center, licensed mental health counselor Patrece Lucas continues to support young people through intentional wellness programming designed to help them navigate life’s challenges while building toward stability and success.

Through Wellness Wednesdays, participants in DPC’s housing programs have access to wellness check-ins, individual support sessions, and spaces that encourage reflection, growth, and self-care alongside the additional resources and support they receive through the program.

At Detroit Phoenix Center, we understand that support goes beyond basic needs. Creating pathways toward long-term wellness and stability means making sure young people feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.

Recently, we had the pleasure of honoring and awarding four carefully selected folks who have significantly supported our organization at our annual Champion Appreciation Brunch. Each person we recognized, has a direct impact on the organization and community by always showing up and committing to our mission in uplifting youth.
