"One person at a time, everyone has something they can offer"

Referred to: David Cherry, President/CEO, Midtown Strategy LLC

Project Description: Satyra Bright and Natasha Griffin recently launched Global Leaders Enterprise to help troubled youth develop leadership skills through mentoring and the arts. In June 2015, they met with the Adrian Tonon to discuss their project. The team referred them to David Cherry of Midtown Strategy, which provides nonprofit planning and development services.

Results: Mr. Cherry met with Ms. Bright and Ms. Griffin on August 4, 2015 to provide pro-bono consulting services. He discussed with them the nature and value of mission statements, logic models, and business acumen, and went into detail about fundraising strategies, including campaign management. The group also discussed time management strategies that might be useful in managing the start-up of the organization, while its founders are still in school. Mr. Cherry provided Ms. Bright and Ms. Griffin with a list of books they might read to help the learn more about nonprofit organizational leadership. He also extended an invitation to stay in touch, and to contact him with any questions they may have as their organization develops.

Thank you David Cherry for your time, mentoring and dedication the serving others!
