5 festivals. 3 months. One collective.

We’ve been busy. 😅

Over the last three months, MK has been out at five different festivals, showing up with harm reduction supplies, education, consent support, Cozy Cove care, and a whole lot of love for our community.

We’re really proud of what we’ve been able to do, and we also know that showing up takes resources.

So we’re doing a little fundraiser to help us keep the booth stocked, support our volunteers, and keep bringing harm reduction wherever we’re needed next.

If you’ve ever stopped by our booth, grabbed some supplies, hung out in the Cozy Cove, had a good conversation with one of our volunteers, or just believe in what we’re doing, we’d love your support. Even a few bucks makes a difference.

What a weekend, Grand Rapids!

Friday night we were at Billy’s for BassBin GR, and Saturday we kept the good vibes rolling at Freeman Guild for Unity. Two nights, two different spaces, and so many beautiful moments of connection, care, and community.

Huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, checked in, grabbed supplies, shared a smile, or helped us make these spaces a little safer and more welcoming.

We love getting to show up for our community. 🫶

🦆 Introducing Safe Duckparture. 🚗

Every great night deserves a safe ride home.

You’ll find our Safe Duckparture Initiative at Loud Detroit this weekend: a simple reminder that making a plan to get home safely is one of the easiest forms of harm reduction.

Whether that means:
🚘 Uber or Lyft
🚕 A taxi
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 A designated sober driver
📞 A trusted friend
😂 Or yes…calling your parents.

However you get home, what matters most is that you get there.

We’ve included a few graphics below that explain the initiative, why it matters, and how each of us can help keep our community safe. We hope you’ll take a moment to check them out. 💜

This initiative was created in memory of beloved community members who were killed by a drunk driver after attending a show.

Let’s honor their memory by making sure everyone has the chance to make it home safely. 🐾

Wow Booney Bash. We had the warmest welcome for our first time here and the vibes could not have been better. 💜🐾

The music kept us dancing all weekend with such a diverse lineup, and we loved seeing everyone enjoying everything from disc golf to tie-dye and all the beautiful moments of connection in between.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, grabbed supplies, shared a conversation, or simply said hello. This community reminded us exactly why we do what we do. Harm reduction is about showing up for each other, creating safer spaces, and helping people make the most of these incredible experiences.

Thank you to the organizers, artists, volunteers, and every person who made our first Booney Bash so memorable. We can’t wait to be back. Until next time, take care of yourselves and each other. ✨
