Pastor Valerie J. Russell is a passionate, servant-leader with a deep commitment to reach the lost and help people, especially children. In 1990, Valerie established a childrenโs ministry called, โChurch in The Hood,โ which was located in the heart of a challenged community. What started out as simply a gathering of children to talk to them about Jesus became a weekly service in the community center. Through this outreach, many were saved and healed, and several are serving God today in ministry.โฃโฃ

Valerie's passion for children is further seen in her commitment to keeping children safe as the Executive Director of The MAN Network. This organization ensures that students travel to and from school safely by providing mobile patrols and community clean ups. โฃโฃ

In addition to her community responsibilities, Valerie serves as Senior Pastor of New Covenant of Peace World Impact Ministries (a.k.a. The Tabernacle) along with her husband Bishop Tony Russell. Located in Detroit, Michigan, The Tabernacle serves as a place where God is made known, unconditional love is experienced, community needs are met, and weary souls find rest.โฃโฃ
