On November 2nd, the CGSM hosted this fine quartet at for an afternoon of classical guitar. These young classical guitarists are part of the CGSM Youth Ensemble directed by Scott Walter and Anthony DiMambro. We also heard performances by Ben Chapman, David Day, and the Detroit Guitar Trio. Our next showcase performance will be on Sunday, February 1st.

This Sunday! See information below. This is a celebration of the classical guitar community in Southeast MI, and a spotlight on the partnership between the Classical Guitar Society of MI and Wayne State University. We'd love to have everyone come and support the youth ensemble and the various performers on Sunday.

Also, the first CGSM Youth Ensemble performance is this Sunday (Nov 2nd) at 1pm at the Schaver Music Recital Hall. We will also be joined for a short performance by David Day https://daviddaymusic.com/

The Classical Guitar Society Youth Ensemble had it's second rehearsal on September 13th. The ensemble is a quartet of some of Michigan's most accomplished classical guitar youth coming together most Saturdays at the Old Main building at WSU. This initial group will lead the way for future seasons and set a high bar of quality classical guitar ensemble playing. The fall concert will be on November 2nd at 1pm in the Schaver Music Recital Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.
