Ten years ago Detroit Children’s Fund received its first donation, sparked by the vision and commitment of our founding board members. Like a ripple across water, that initial moment of generosity has grown outward: impacting thousands of students, strengthening schools, and creating opportunities far beyond where it began.
This year's gala, The Ripple Effect, celebrates a decade of investing in public education in Detroit, and the collective force that made it possible.

History walked the halls at KIPP Detroit Imani Academy’s Annual Wax Museum.

Students brought Black History Month to life by portraying influential leaders, artists, athletes, and change-makers, sharing the powerful stories behind their impact.

The creativity, confidence, and passion we witnessed was truly inspiring.

Last Friday we had the chance to step into history at KIPP Imani Academy’s Annual Wax Museum. ✨

Students brought Black History Month to life by dressing up as influential leaders, artists, athletes, and change-makers — complete with tri-fold boards sharing their stories and impact.

We saw so many incredible presentations that this is only a glimpse of the brilliance we witnessed. Every student showed up ready to teach, inspire, and celebrate the people who helped shape our world.

One thing is clear: Detroit’s future is bright. ✨
