opened its doors in February with a one-day exhibition featuring local printmaking talent - “Detroit Prints,” curated by De’Mone Davis.

Dedicated to showcasing traditional printmaking by Detroit-based printmakers and artists, “Detroit Prints” explored process, history, and shared experience through print. The room reflected the lineage of printmaking in conversation with the shared Black experience, featuring contemporary printmakers from Detroit.

Inside our Youth Advisory Council: six young artists, ages 14 to 19, learning, creating, and leading in real time. This year, they’ve been shaping a powerful project on gun violence awareness through research, storytelling, and collaborative installation work, each session bringing them closer to a shared vision.

With Giving Tuesday approaching, we’re proud to uplift their voices and invest in the next generation of Detroit creatives. And with a new year on the way, we can’t wait to show you what they’re building. Stay tuned.
