Congratulations to Vamonos! Healthy Eats & Creative Spaces

Winner of tonight’s Detroit SOUP! They won $1,170 from the community to launch their amazing event space and restaurant. Build Institute and Lake Trust sponsored the event!

PROJECT SUMMARY

Vamonos will offer our community healthy non processed food in eco friendly packaging as well as offer our space for creativity to our community. We plan on offering fitness classes, art galleries, markets, work and study areas and after school programming. Our goal is to make all of this accessible by making it affordable. Our menu prices will be fairly low because we believe healthy food should not be expensive! Our space will be available to rent for events at either really low rates or free.


WHY DOES THIS PROJECT MATTER TO THE DETROIT COMMUNITY?

Vamonos will benefit my community here in Southwest Detroit in so many ways! Starting with accessible and affordable healthy non processed food, offering workshops on the importance of healthy eating, recycling and sustainability for our planet. It will also benefit our community through the fitness classes we will offer, the availability to use or space for creativity such as art and music. Another great benefit that brings us so much happiness is generating jobs in a healthy and fun environment. Everything we aim to offer is a true community need here in Southwest Detroit, we don't have a safe gathering space.
