Chill Donβt Kill (CDK) is committed to eliminating violent crimes in at risk communities. We do that by training young adults in the building trades and teaching them to market their skills in the community. We believe that many young people resort to a life of crime when they find no viable alternative to make money. The process also includes conflict resolution training to help young people mana
ge themselves in potentially violent situations. In addition to the training, CDK engages target areas with a variety of charitable services designed to benefit local residents. Our annual rally brings public officials, local performing artist, local residents, and other stake holders together to speak out against violent crimes in the city. It combines positive messages, personal anecdotes, free food and live entertainment to generate a community consciousness in the people.
