Happy last day of summer camp! ☀️

For the last two months, our summer campers have experienced the ! From making new friends and going on field trips to all the fun in between, this summer was filled with memories our campers will carry with them for years to come. 💙

Last Friday, we celebrated our Achievers 2.0 students as they prepare to enter the next chapter of their lives.

From skilled trades to universities in and out of state, our students are preparing to take the next step, and the YMCA is excited to be part of their journey.

Through Achievers 2.0, the Y continues to provide guidance, resources, and mentorship as students transition from high school into college or the workforce.

We’re so proud of our students and excited for what’s ahead!

Y Arts Detroit hosted the AFP Greater Detroit Chapter networking reception and panel at the John and Marlene Boll Family YMCA Black Box Theater in honor of Black Philanthropy Month and the enduring legacy of Black philanthropy in our communities.

The evening brought together nonprofit professionals, fundraisers, community leaders, and philanthropists for connection, conversation, and learning.

Following the networking reception, a dynamic panel of local leaders explored the rich history of Black philanthropy, its lasting impact, and how generosity, leadership, and community investment continue to shape our communities' future.

Back-to-school season is here, and it’s a great time to add swim lessons to your family’s routine.

Swim lessons can be a significant expense, but through our partnership with Huron-Clinton Metroparks and our Detroit Swims program, our YMCA offers free classes and scholarship opportunities to make swim lessons more accessible to families.

Swim lessons are available at YMCA branches across Metro Detroit, giving kids the opportunity to build confidence and develop important water safety skills year-round.

Last weekend, our wellness teams came together for our inaugural Wellness Summit! 💪

From group fitness sessions to hands-on workshops, the Summit was filled with learning, collaboration, and connection as staff from across the association came together to share ideas and grow together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first Wellness Summit a success, and a special thank you to the Farmington Family YMCA team for hosting.
