Founded in 2011, we've been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2013. Classes & workshops across SE Michigan, and statewide educator training We are a nonprofit organization working to make sure every child has the chance to succeed. Through our flagship program, The Improv Project, we’re working to give Detroit's young people tools they can use to make meaningful changes in their lives. These young impro
visers gain confidence and learn lessons that would make all of us better people. They develop the ability to collaborate, listen, respect others’ views, and build literacy skills. And they learn what is possible when they take risks, practice, and persevere. Along the way many discover who they are, and who they want to become. These lessons endure after improv class ends. When you donate to The Detroit Creativity Project, 100% of your money goes to support kids in The Improv Project. For $180 you can provide ten weeks of improv training to a child and help ensure they have the opportunity to succeed.
