Sadness reminds us that all our emotions are valid. It's alright to cry and okay to not always have everything under control. Accepting our feelings is key to healing and rediscovering our inner light. There will be sunshine after this.☀️

March 4th, a date that beckons us to march forth with determination and purpose. In the journey of life, we often face challenges and uncertainties. While we can't guarantee that the toughest days are behind us, there are certain dates that carry a hidden encouragement, and March 4th stands out as one of them.

As the calendar flips to the fourth day of March, it serves as a symbolic reminder to press forward, embrace opportunities, and overcome obstacles. The phrase "March forth" encapsulates the spirit of progress, urging us to move ahead with resilience and optimism.

It's not just a day. It's a MOVEMENT. March Forth!!

May Day! May Day!

Every year during the month of May, FOG Kids joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health. Together, we fight stigma, provide support, educate, and host various events and workshops for the public.

Today, we want you to know that you are MORE THAN ENOUGH! We want every person out there to know that if all you did was wake up today, that’s more than enough. No matter what, YOU are inherently worthy of more than enough Life, Love and Healing. Showing up, just as you are, for yourself and the people around you is more than enough.

🚨Calling All Teachers, Counselors, Youth Workers, and Parents! 🚨 Help get the word out to your students and children that need it. ❤️ Join FOG Kids for our annual camp.
FOG Kid's Camp Good Grief is a one-day program for youth that are dealing with loss of all kinds.
Everything from a death of a relative or a divorce in the family, moving to a new school, death of a pet and even COVID-19 has caused our children to feel isolated and alone. 💔

Children and teens ages 6-17 will meet with other campers who have been through similar situations. Because everyone here has had a loss and can relate on a level that few others can, long lasting friendships are made. 😊

Our young survivors will play, talk, laugh, cry and create memories together. With the support of trained grief experts, facilitators, and volunteers, the camp provides a unique opportunity for youth to increase levels of hope, enhance self-esteem, and especially to learn that they are not alone. With the incorporation of art therapy, fitness, fun and relaxation they will learn how to work through their grief and learn coping skills in a safe place. 🤗

Camp Good Grief allows youth to:
☀️Tell their story in a safe environment
☀️Process grief in healthy ways
☀️Meet friends facing similar circumstances
☀️Learn they are not alone
☀️Build a toolbox of coping skills
☀️Honor and memorialize loved ones
☀️Have fun!

Someone your child loved died, and when they did, life as they knew it shattered in a million pieces. Whether the loss was sudden, or they saw it coming, as soon as they understood that someone, they love was dead or dying, they began the grueling work of grieving.

Many people believe that grief is a two-dimensional, emotional process with a beginning, a middle, and an end. But these are misconceptions; grief can impact a person emotionally, cognitively, physically, spiritually, and interpersonally. And the reality is that grief often stays with you forever. The Real Reality is that this too complicated for children to understand.

No one can tell you exactly how to cope with your loss because your grief is unique. It's unlike anyone else's - in that it's a reflection of your relationship with the person who died, your specific stressors, and how you individually cope with the loss.
At Grief Symposium 2023 we will not tell you how to feel or what you should be feeling. We will meet you where you are and help you through your grief journey,

We hope to see you Saturday February 18th

Parents,
Your child’s childhood trauma should not come up in their marriage. They need to heal with you, not with their spouse. 💔
