🥣🥛 FREE CEREAL & MILK GIVEAWAY THIS SATURDAY! 🥛🥣

Oakland Avenue Urban Farm and Northend Christian CDC are helping our youth and families close out the summer with a little extra support!

THIS SATURDAY — AUGUST 22, 2026

We will be distributing FREE CEREAL & MILK to youth and families in our community while supplies last!

Throughout the summer, our community has helped us collect cereal for children while they are out of school, and thanks to the generous support of the Michigan Dairy Association, we are able to pair that cereal with milk for families.

❤️ No registration required. While supplies last.

Come visit the Farmers Market, pick up some fresh produce, and take home cereal and milk for the family.

Oakland Avenue Urban Farm invites you to join us for a FREE Emergency Preparedness & Community Resilience Workshop led by Magnetic Sun of Nurturing Our Seeds Farm.

This won’t be a sit-and-listen workshop. We’re creating a practical, interactive experience where you’ll learn how to prepare your household for emergencies, including power outages, extreme heat, severe weather, winter emergencies, and other unexpected situations.

We’ll talk about what belongs in an emergency kit, creating a family emergency plan, preparing for your household’s unique needs, and how we can strengthen our neighborhoods through community connection and mutual aid.

🎒 SPECIAL REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITY:
The first 30 people to register and participate will receive a FREE Emergency Preparedness Backpack filled with supplies to help you begin preparing at home!

Didn’t make the first 30? PLEASE STILL COME! The workshop is free and open to everyone who wants to learn. The knowledge is just as important as the backpack.
