Yep, Corona Covid-19 tried to slow down these senior citizens, putting a stop to our indoor AARP Chapter 2168's regular monthly meeting - NOT! We are learning as we go how to use ZOOM so that we can continue our slogan which is "TO SERVE and not to be served"...and we have fun doing that.

Conner Creek put on a free Health Fair at our base home for AARP Chapter 2168 on August 28, 2020. Everything from testing for Corvid19 to personal equipment for self protection and the protection of other, bingo, live entertainment and hot grilled food.

On this fine Monday morning of August 12, 2019 our President Linda Mason-Andrews of AARP DETROIT CHAPTER 2168 in the area of District 3 inside of Detroit, Michigan, our Councilman Scott Benson got a good ear full of the concerns of yhe neighborhood. We also had our Neighborhood Detroit Police Officer Hill give a lot of good ideals for safety and ideals about some laws that neighborhoods has to deal with daily, such as abandoned houses, unlocked garages, falling tree branches, etc. Councilman Scott Benson has been put on noticed face to face by AARP CHAPTER 2168 with concerns that we have living in his/ours District 3. He promised some action will be taken. We will see, because we will be watching him and his team.
