Eastern Michigan University Black Alumni (EMUBA)

Eastern Michigan University Black Alumni (EMUBA) A volunteer-run, membership-based organization that focuses on supporting & promoting the welfare & interests of Black alumni & students of EMU.

The primary purpose of the Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association, Black Alumni Chapter (EMUBA) is to provide students at Eastern Michigan University with financial assistance in the form of scholarship awards and to support alumni with networking opportunities, resources, and information. EMUBA will provide such assistance, placing special emphasis on the needs of African-American and oth

er minority students as they pursue a degree at EMU and upon their departure from the university. EMUBA will endeavor to assist students with assimilation into the professional arena and by example foster in them a continuing sense of civic and community pride, as well as compel them to develop a life-long association with Eastern Michigan University through the Black Alumni Chapter. EMUBA also aims to encourage pre-college students in their pursuit of higher education and will recruit and/or fully support the University's recruitment efforts of such prospective candidates for admission to Eastern Michigan University.

While you are spring cleaning, take a moment to set aside your business casual/professional attire to donate to EMU University Advising and Career Development Center ( ). All clothing donated with be available for students to participate in a sip and shop prior to May 1st’s Multicultural Graduation. Donations can be dropped off directly to the Career Closet located in McKenny Hall room 251 or arrangements for pick-up in the Detroit Area can be made via email at [email protected]. | Tag 3 alumni who need to clean out their closet.
