The 90-year-old Senate Theater's 30-year-old boiler has boiled its last. Let's stay toasty this winter!

Please consider a $10 donation (or more, if you can)to help with the expense of replacing the boiler.

Just down Michigan Avenue from Corktown is the fantastic Senate Theater, home to the Detroit Theater Organ Society, designed by Christian W. Brandt and opened in 1926. Remodeled inside and out multiple times, no one knows what the original interior looked like!

The Detroit Theater Organ Society purchased the theater in 1962 to install in it the 8th largest Wurlitzer theater pipe organ ever built. It inspired awe and wonder in moviegoers at Detroit's largest art object, the Fisher Building from 1928-1960. Now its used for silent films, concerts and played before "talkies" at the Senate.

The incredible team who’s been working to restore and entertain is looking for donations that will help share it with a new generation!
