Today is the day! 💚 It’s our Sixth Annual Back-to-School Resource Party, and EVERYTHING is FREE! 🎉 We’ll have bookbags, school supplies, food, health screenings, and so much more. Please be patient with us as we serve our community—everything is first come, first served. My prayer is that every child feels loved, every family feels welcomed, and every person who serves feels appreciated. Lord, please protect this event, our team, the children, the families, and everyone who attends. Let today be filled with love, joy, peace, and a whole lot of FUN! 🙏🏽💚🥳

Our Second Annual Community Resource Party was a success! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. Families were connected to valuable resources, children enjoyed a fun and memorable day, and our community came together in a powerful way.

Today, our youth explored Downtown Detroit through a community scavenger hunt, acts of kindness, and visits to local businesses and landmarks.

They also stepped out of their comfort zones by approaching community members and asking thoughtful questions about what they feel youth and the community need. These conversations helped them hear real voices from the city and better understand the challenges and hopes within their own neighborhoods.For many, even riding the QLINE was a new and uncomfortable experience but they chose courage anyway. Through teamwork, confidence, and curiosity, they connected with their city in a meaningful way.

Today’s reminder: growth happens when you’re willing to try something new and real leadership listens.

April 2026 | Earth Day just recently passed and of course we could’ve easily just cleaned up the community. But for us, being intentional meant giving our youth program Generational Givers the “why” behind the work.We had them walk through our community and really observe what surrounds us, the blight, abandoned houses, cracked sidewalks, overflowing trash cans, and neglected spaces. They teamed up to identify issues and present their findings to one another.

At first, when we asked them what they liked about their community, many of them didn’t have an answer. But after this experience, they began to see things differently and truly appreciate the mission. It became bigger than just cleaning up, it became about awareness, pride, responsibility, and realizing they have the power to help create change.
