Outside, Engaged & Making an Impact!
Our BMBFA team has been showing up and showing love across Detroit! From celebrating families to connecting with community partners, we’re continuing to build relationships that support mothers, babies, and families. ✨
👶🏾 Detroit Rx Kids Baby Parade: Held in conjunction with Mayor Sheffield’s Inaugural Walk & Run for Wellness, this celebration brought families and community advocates together! Pictured are Dr. Mona and Mommy Ambassador Asya.
💜 The Closet Event: Connecting women with resources that make a difference! This free clothing closet supports women in our community and is available by appointment only.
Infant Safe Sleep Faith-Based and Community Partners Luncheon: We were excited to connect with community partners and see familiar faces, including Danny and Deidre, proud graduates of BMBFA’s 2024 Doula Training Program!

BMBFA is preparing for our next Community-Based Doula Training cohort! Through a Fully Funded Scholarship, participants will receive comprehensive training to support mothers and families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
