Pure Purpose

Pure Purpose is a non-profit organization that provides individuals and families who are homeless with a sense of comfort and dignity through good hygiene.

Pure Purpose donates personal hygiene products to the homeless youth and families that are need. We provide these products in waterproof bags. This pack includes items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a pair of socks, deodorant and other basic everyday essentials that will help them maintain healthy hygiene. They are individualized for men, women, and/or youth and small children. This is all in an effort to bring "the Sunshine after the rain"

Thank you to my beautiful Distinguished Young Women of Wayne-Westland family! With their help, in just one day around 100 hygiene products were collected and donated to my organization.
An additional thank you for awarding me with the Community Service Scholarship Award for 2019! Thank you to my DYW family for all the love and support! Congratulations to the class of 2020 ladies! I am proud of you all.

This year was another success! I decided to end my senior year with one last Hygiene Drive. Although there were many unforeseen challenges, with the help and support from numerous JG staff and students, it was all made possible. Over 1,000 products were donated this March from John Glenn High School!!

***A special shoutout to Mrs.Gidley as she sorted & counted all of my donations! And to Ms.Nimmerguth and Mrs.Rogers because they have continued to support me through all three years which I have done this drive. Lastly, I would like to thank John Glenn's Janitors, as they have never failed to help me, and should always be appreciated.

It was a pleasure to be able to donate some of my donations to an event that assists the homeless this winter season. This event was set up by the Optimist Club of Detroit, MI. They are such a great group of people, and I really fancied being in their company. (shout out to my siblings and mom for helping out!)

A couple of my wonderful friends and I, decorated boxes for my Holiday Hygiene drive. Which I am doing at my school for the 2nd year! I hope that this will be just as great turnout as last year. Thanks to everyone who continues to show Pure Purpose so much support! 😊

It is always a good time when volunteering for my community. It makes me happy when I see peoples' faces light up. The homeless are still PEOPLE, and they deserve to be treated like so.

"Our purpose is pure and simple. Our goal is to be a ray of sunshine in someone's "rainy" storm. For persons who are experiencing homelessness, we aim to improve their overall comfort, confidence, and sense of dignity through our collection, donation, and distribution of personal hygiene products."

Pure Purpose is a social movement that provides personal hygiene items to the homeless community. While we focus on homeless youth and families in the Metro Detroit Area, we serve all that are in need.
