We're proud to share that The Austin Foundation has been selected as a grantee of the Skillman Foundation Youth Council's Fundamental Futures: Power to the Youth fund.

What makes this one hit different is that the decision came from young people. Detroit youth reviewed, deliberated, and chose where these dollars go. They chose us.

This investment will support Becoming Young Adults, our financial literacy and life skills program for young people ages 12 to 24 across Detroit and Southeast Michigan, deepening the work we do every day to prepare them for adulthood.

Thank you to the Skillman Foundation and the Youth Council members who put their trust in this work. We don't take it lightly.

Had an amazing day with the SHARE Detroit community for Together Detroit and at kintsugivillagedetroit, and it was the perfect rooftop setting.

We shared our Money Talks and created vision boards together mapping out dreams, goals, action steps, and gratitude along the way. We’re so grateful for experiences like this that let us connect with more of our community.💛

72 books donated to Kemeny Recreation Center in Southwest Detroit. 📚✨

This one was special because Kemeny was the rec center we attended most as kids, and now we get to give back to the next generation of young readers and leaders in that same community.

More books are coming this summer as we continue encouraging reading, learning, and imagination.
