Extreme heat can be especially dangerous for older adults, children, people with chronic health conditions, outdoor workers, and residents without reliable access to air conditioning.
Drink plenty of water, limit strenuous outdoor activity, take frequent breaks in air-conditioned spaces, and watch for signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, nausea, headache, confusion, fainting, rapid heartbeat, or excessive sweating.
Please check on neighbors, friends, and family members, especially older adults, people with disabilities, young children, people with chronic medical conditions, and those without access to air conditioning.
