On April 7, 1979 the Detroit Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove was chartered by the National Conclave in Charleston, SC. Sullivan and Abza attended the conclave as delegates and submitted the proposal that chartered our chapter. Daryl Sills (1966 Shaw University) and Fl. Gary Goodwin (1972 North Carolina Central University) had also joined the chapter and were recognized as charter chapter members.
