Soup at Spaulding SOUP at Spaulding is a microgranting dinner celebrating & supporting creative projects in Corktown, N Each dinner also features a local artist!

Join us at Spaulding Court for a potluck dinner where neighbors help fund neighborhood projects! Learn about creative projects happening in Corktown, North Corktown, Core City and Woodbridge and vote on which project to fund with the money raised from the dinner. Anyone is welcome to attend the dinner, but all project proposals must benefit the Corktown, North Corktown, Core City and/or Woodbridge

neighborhood. How it works:
Attendees pay $5 for soup & salad and vote on which project they think benefits the community the most. The winner goes home with all of the money raised at the door to carryout their project. At the dinner, Corktown, North Corktown, Core City and Woodbridge residents and supporters connect, share ideas and community resources.

Day House is a community house in Detroit following in the tradition of the Catholic Worker movement, providing housing to transitional neighborhood folks, and clothing the homeless for almost 50 years.
