Girls Rock Detroit is a volunteer run music and social justice minded community for youth and adults. We're dedicated to fostering creative expression, positive self-esteem and community awareness for girls, women, gender expansive, and transgender people through music, education, and performance. Community participants have access to music and social justice related workshops, camps, resources, a

nd community events. Our leaders and affiliates are all committed to creating safe spaces in which to support our mission and its members. By encouraging creativity, confidence, and collaboration in a supportive environment, we strive to empower people to challenge preconceived notions of what they can do, who they can become, and to engage people as members of our community. We believe it is crucial that all people have access to education and community support regardless of their socio-economic background, religion, race, gender identity, sexuality or ethnicity.
