MACC Development is certified 501(c) community development corporation located on the east side of Detroit. Started in 2010 by members of Mack Avenue Community Church (MACC), MACC Development exists to see the gospel advanced, disciples made, and residents cared for through education, housing and economic development. In the pursuit of a healthier, thriving community, MACC Development leads four i

nitiatives: MACC Lit, MACC Housing, MACC Legal and MACC Sports. These initiatives are all tailored to outspoken needs in the community, and provide a gospel-centered means for linking families to opportunities and resources to which they may not otherwise have access. MACC Lit - one on one tutoring for elementary students; students see an average of nearly 2.5 grade levels of reading growth every year. MACC Housing - repopulating our neighborhood by renovating and repurposing homes and commercial properties for current and future 48214ers. MACC Legal - providing low-cost, professional legal advice, limited representation, and suitable community informational seminars. MACC Sports - a soccer league with more than 120 youth enrolled seasonly, all of which takes place in the up-and-coming Pingree Park. in addition to its programming, MACC Development continues to make strides in concentrated economic development efforts. Specifically, the MACC Building, the Mack Avenue Corridor, and the Pingree Park neighborhood have become strategic focal points for further development in the 48214.
