Let's Show the City That No One Walks Alone.

Mental health challenges don't just affect individuals. They affect families, friends, coworkers, classmates, and neighbors. Chances are, someone you know is carrying a burden you can't see.

That's why we're walking.

On Saturday, September 19, the NAMI Detroit HEROES will join hundreds of others at NAMIWalks 2026 to raise awareness, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and help ensure that no one has to face their journey alone.

Whether you're walking in support of a loved one, honoring someone's story, or simply because you believe everyone deserves hope and understanding, we'd love to have you with us.

Let's show the city that when it comes to mental health, we show up for one another.

Join the NAMI Detroit HEROES today:

Together, every step sends a powerful message:
You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.

I especially like the line "Let's show the city that when it comes to mental health, we show up for one another." It gives the headline a payoff and reinforces the sense of community that the headline promises.

Tonight!! We’re excited to welcome Andre Charley, MSW, LMSW-C/M as the featured speaker for this month’s NAMI Detroit Public Meeting.

Andre has become a powerful voice for mental wellness throughout Detroit. Through MANifest, the Brotherhood Breakfast, Affecting Change Detroit, and countless community conversations, he has created spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. His work has brought together men, families, professionals, faith leaders, and community members to have the conversations that too often go unspoken.

His impact extends far beyond the stage. By creating environments centered on healing, connection, and accountability, Andre continues to help strengthen individuals, families, and neighborhoods across our city.

We’re honored to have him join the NAMI Detroit community for an evening of meaningful conversation about men’s mental health, resilience, and the importance of showing up for one another.

If you’ve experienced Andre’s work before, you know this will be a conversation worth being part of. If you haven’t, this is a great opportunity to hear from someone who has dedicated his life to making a lasting difference in Detroit.

We hope you’ll join us.
