Need Help Resolving a City Service Issue?

The West Grand Boulevard Collaborative (WGBC) encourages residents to speak up when concerns involving city services are not being addressed in a timely or fair manner.

If you have experienced difficulties with city departments, unresolved service requests, delays in response, or concerns regarding the quality of services provided, you may wish to contact the Detroit Ombudsman Office. The Ombudsman serves as an independent resource to help residents navigate concerns involving city government and seek fair resolutions.

Examples of concerns may include:

Unresolved city service requests
Delays in inspections or permits
Neighborhood maintenance concerns
Issues involving city department responses
Questions regarding city processes or procedures

WGBC believes that informed and engaged residents help build stronger neighborhoods. If you have a concern, don't hesitate to document the issue, keep records of your communications, and explore available resources to ensure your voice is heard.

Registration is open for Brilliant Detroit's FREE Summer Discovery Program!

Designed for rising 1st–4th graders, this year's Enchanted Forest-themed camp combines reading, writing and problem-solving with hands-on adventures, secret codes and plenty of imagination.

The program runs Monday through Thursday, July 6–August 13, and space is limited. Stop by your local Brilliant Detroit hub to learn more and sign up!
