Join the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and the Pontiac Funders Collaborative for our monthly Nonprofit Networking series. This is an informal gathering where nonprofit leaders, staff and volunteers can meet and learn from each other.

Yesterday at , we asked: what are we willing to do for Michigan's children? Our panelists answered with data, with lived experience, and with a clear message: Rx Kidsis working.

Here's what stood out:

Rx Kids isn't a Detroit story. It's a Michigan story. Megan Murphy, CEO of Superior Health Foundation, has seen firsthand what happens when Rx Kids reaches rural communities in the Upper Peninsula.

The research is in. And it's compelling. Michael Horrigan, President of the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, has been studying what Rx Kids actually does for families and local economies.

His findings? The data on Rx Kids makes a strong business case — not just a social one.

Flint is piloting a model that's attracting national attention, and Mike will be at on May 28 to walk us through what the evidence shows.

When research and community need align, that's common ground worth standing on.

Meet one of our Mackinac Policy Conference panelists. Dr. Mona Hanna is the founder and director of Rx Kids — and she'll be on stage at to talk about what the research really shows.

Dr. Mona has made the case for Rx Kids to audiences on both sides of the aisle. Her argument is straightforward: Healthy infants and financially stable families are good for Michigan, full stop.
