Yesterday at , we asked: what are we willing to do for Michigan's children? Our panelists answered with data, with lived experience, and with a clear message: Rx Kidsis working.

Here's what stood out:
❤️ This is a maternal-infant health program and it is working, it's working at scale.
❤️ It's fundamentally about healthy moms, healthy babies, healthy communities.
❤️ What has surprised me the most has been being able to reimagine, with all of you, how we take care of each other.
❤️ We're telling families: We see you and we hear you and we know how hard it is to have a child.

"At a time when the country feels deeply polarized, healthy babies remain a powerful point of common ground," Rx Kids Founder and Director Dr. Mona Hanna writes in The Detroit News. "Every state says it values families. Michigan is proving what it looks like to truly invest in them. We are becoming the most baby-friendly state in the nation — and other states are looking to our model as a blueprint for healthier families and stronger economies."

Rx Kids isn't a Detroit story. It's a Michigan story. Megan Murphy, CEO of Superior Health Foundation, has seen firsthand what happens when Rx Kids reaches rural communities in the Upper Peninsula.

Families gain stability. Local economies feel it. Bipartisan support in the U.P. shows this is about shared values, not party politics.

Megan joins us May 28 at . We can't wait to hear her perspective.

Tomorrow at Mackinac, we're asking a question that cuts across party lines: What are we willing to do for Michigan's children?

Our panel — " Rx Kids A Data-Driven Discussion on Health and Economic Outcomes" — brings together a researcher, a rural health leader, a physician-advocate, and a foundation CEO to answer that question with evidence, stories and data.

The research is in. And it's compelling. Michael Horrigan, President of the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, has been studying what Rx Kids actually does for families and local economies.

His findings? The data on Rx Kids makes a strong business case — not just a social one.

Flint is piloting a model that's attracting national attention, and Mike will be at on May 28 to walk us through what the evidence shows.

When research and community need align, that's common ground worth standing on.

Meet one of our Mackinac Policy Conference panelists. Dr. Mona Hanna is the founder and director of Rx Kids — and she'll be on stage at to talk about what the research really shows.

Dr. Mona has made the case for Rx Kids to audiences on both sides of the aisle. Her argument is straightforward: Healthy infants and financially stable families are good for Michigan, full stop.

We'll hear from her on May 28 in the Grand Pavilion. Stay tuned for more from all four of our panelists this week.
