Good morning PALM family,
Our PALM volunteers are thrilled that you chose to spend your week with us. We want to thank you for joining us on our hardest route that PALM takes. There is a reason that we only come this far north every ten years!
Many of you have great accomplishments to celebrate: riding your longest distance, riding your greatest elevation climb, learning to shift your bike, fixing a flat tire on your own for the first time, joining the tour, finishing your first tour, riding a century and many more. We would like to congratulate you on all your accomplishments, big and small.
As you are wrapping up your week, don't forget to ; dry out your gear, add your pictures to the google drive (linked below), wash your laundry and clean your bike. https://photos.app.goo.gl/kRSbrELrysEaYoaTA https://photos.app.goo.gl/rVb3vcLerYAwGTQM7
PALM is always looking to grow and improve our practices. Your feedback is how we do this. Please consider taking a moment to complete this brief survey: https://forms.gle/y7F4FtyWYdEc1moV9
If you are curious or interested in volunteer opportunities, or would like to propose a route for PALM 2027, please bring your lunch and join us at our annual picnic on September 13 at 2pm in the pavilion area at Granger Park : 1745 Granger Meadows Ln, Lansing, MI 48906. This meeting is where volunteer positions are filled, board positions up for renewal are nominated, our route is voted (everyone there gets a vote) and the feedback from this year is reviewed for improvement.
I hope to see you all again next year,
Jess Rasmussen
PALM Chair 2026
