Who we are- A group of women concerned with one another’s needs. We have suffered and overcome depression, sexual abuse and assault, divorce, near death experiences, cancer survivors, having children out of wedlock and more.
2.Our Mission- To transition high-risked young ladies and women, from unhealthy and illogical environments as well as relationships through empowerment workshops, spiritual and professional resources and mentorships.
3.Our Vision- Eliminating race, culture and denomination to deliver all a woman’s needs.
4.What We Do:
a. Mentor & Educate Women 13+ in as many areas of life as possible! We will target women of all ages. All a woman will need to participate with L.O.W Ministries is willingness for change or a testimony of hope. b.Provide Spiritual and Professional Resources - L.O.W. Ministries will deliver hope to troubled young ladies and women. We will fill in the gap connecting every woman to Christ and one to another. will provide intensive up-to-date resources in which women will be able to turn to for spiritual or professional help in their current situations. Enable & Empower Women - Our future success will stem from powerful, uplifting programs, changed lives, word of mouth, and our marketing etc. No woman in desperate need of change will want to pass us up. Build Friendships and Partnerships - Our goal is to make every woman comfortable and not add stipulations on their participation. We are a faith-based and a non-denomination organization in which allows every woman to be herself. Philanthropy – to provide assistance to sexual assault victims (i.e. timed housing expenses, shelter, transportation, medical/counseling fees not covered under their insurance. Scholarships for sexual assault victors). f.Community Engagement – Host different community initiatives, community development and volunteering opportunities.
5.How We Do It - Programs & Services
a.Teen Girl Mentorship Program – designed for girls’ ages 13-17 years old. This program will be an afterschool/weekend opportunity for teenage girls. b.Women (Mommy) Empowerment – designed to provide women with an outlet to release pain and learn with empowerment workshops, educational programs, Blazers for Beauties (B4B) employment training, etc. c.Marriage 101 – designed for women who are married and those desiring to be. The program will equip women with wisdom and techniques for a successful marriage. d.Sexual Assault Support & Awareness – designed to support and bring awareness to high school, college students and women across Michigan then expanding nationwide. e.Social Media Support Groups – There will be a support group on Facebook that will provide daily encouragement for all who are connected.
6.Signature Events –
a.November – “Preparing for Greater” Women’s Empowerment Luncheon = Conference will be held each November (Starting in 2016). b.February – Marriage Weekend
c.May – Weekend Mommy’s Getaway
d.Aug – Nobodies Princess - Dual Conference for Girls = NOBP/ISAW ages 8-12 and L.O.W ages 13 – 17!
