Some moments carry a little more weight. 💚🤍🎶

Yesterday, walking the halls of Cass Tech and seeing Patricia Terry-Ross’ name permanently placed above the Harp Studio was one of those moments for TTS COO and Harp & Vocal alumna, Terri Berry.

For Terri, this was more than a dedication. It was a full-circle moment—a chance to honor an educator whose impact reached far beyond the music.

“Mama Ross was one of those special educators who gave us so much more than music. She taught us discipline, excellence, confidence, and what it meant to represent something bigger than ourselves. The lessons learned in that harp room stayed with us long after we left Cass Tech.

As a Harp & Vocal alumna, I am so proud that The Triangle Society has supported Harp & Vocal throughout our organization’s history. But yesterday, for me, wasn’t about organizations or titles. It was about being one of Pat’s Pearls and having the privilege of saying, Thank you. We remember. And what you gave us mattered.

Mama Ross, your name is exactly where it belongs.”

— Terri Berry 💚🤍
