The Better Men Outreach Program

The Better Men Outreach Program BMO is a mentorship program that teaches self-respect, builds self-esteem, employs low-income young adults and how to serve the community.

Our primary tool of engagement is through recreational activities. MONDAY: Better Women Outreach (BWO) @ Durfee Innovation Society 6pm - 8pm (15 and up). TUESDAY: N/A

Join our Part 3 Violence Prevention Event in Detroit, MI, on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. at Durfee Innovation Society (2470 Collingwood Detroit Michigan). Geared toward ages 8 to 18 (though all are welcome), this community day features open run basketball, arcade games, and giveaways. It’s an empowering space to learn conflict resolution and safe decision-making skills.

Event Highlights

Conflict Resolution Workshops:
Engaging mentorship focused on thinking before you speak and act, equipping youth with the tools they need to stay safe.

Open Run Basketball:
Main court action running strong all the way until 9:00 PM.

Family Resources:
Free distribution of giveaways and household essentials for the community.

Entertainment & Food:
Arcade games, great food, and positive conversations.

Come out for fun, games, and mentorship—because our youth and our community need you!
