Wayne County CASA is honored to receive a grant from the Children's Foundation of Michigan, supporting continuing education for our CASA volunteers.

This investment directly strengthens the advocacy children in foster care receive, equipping our volunteers with the tools and knowledge to be effective, informed voices for the children we serve.
Thank you, Children's Foundation of Michigan!

Your background, your story, your life experience, all of it can be a powerful tool for advocating for children in foster care.

As a Wayne County CASA volunteer, you'll receive specialized training and be appointed by the juvenile & family court to serve as an advocate for a child in the foster care system. You'll gather information, build a relationship with that child, present your findings to the court, and recommend the services and support that give that child the best chance at a safe, permanent home.

Fall training begins September 9th!

This year, the wonderful people behind Rocket Mortgage are helping to ease the back-to-school transition for children in our Wayne County CASA program by donating personalized backpacks stocked with school supplies. Thoughtful gestures like these help children in foster care feel seen, supported, and ready to take on a new school year.

Thank you, Rocket Mortgage, for continuing to invest in Wayne County's children! 🙌

Congratulations to our newest class of Wayne County CASA volunteers!
After completing specialized CASA training, 8 dedicated individuals (including one who joined us via Zoom!) were sworn in.

It is always a great honor and privilege to serve the Third Circuit Juvenile Court under Presiding Judge, the Honorable Karen Y. Braxton.

A huge thank you to our CASA staff, board of directors, and the Third Circuit Juvenile Court jurists and administration for helping us celebrate this special milestone.

We are beyond thrilled to welcome these incredible new volunteers to the Wayne County CASA family! They are ready to advocate for Wayne County children in foster care, and we are ready to assign them their first cases.

Happy 4th of July to our amazing community! Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe weekend!
