What a treat! Last week, the Wayne County Juvenile Judges hosted a Hawaiian Ice social. We want to say a huge thank you to the judges for sponsoring such a fun event, and to the court for thinking of us and inviting us to be part of it. It was a sweet, sunny escape from the everyday, and a wonderful reminder of the community that surrounds children and families in Wayne county.

We want to thank the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth for hosting a backpack drive, and the individuals and families who generously contributed backpacks and school supplies for our CASA children.

This investment directly strengthens the advocacy children in foster care receive, equipping our volunteers with the tools and knowledge to be effective, informed voices for the children we serve.

Your background, your story, your life experience, all of it can be a powerful tool for advocating for children in foster care.

As a Wayne County CASA volunteer, you'll receive specialized training and be appointed by the juvenile & family court to serve as an advocate for a child in the foster care system. You'll gather information, build a relationship with that child, present your findings to the court, and recommend the services and support that give that child the best chance at a safe, permanent home.

Fall training begins September 9th!
