We are honored to host Aliz and her family, who traveled all the way from Hungary for a life changing reconstructive surgery at Trinity Health. After two bouts with leukemia, chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant, Aliz developed a devastating fungal infection that ate away at her nose, lip, and the roof of her mouth that left her disfigured. Dr. Chaiyasate is giving Aliz and her family the help and hope they need for a brighter future. ❤ Thank you to FOX 2 Detroit for sharing this story.

A doctor in Royal Oak is helping rebuild the nose of a young girl from Hungary, who survived cancer and a severe fungal infection as a child.

Last year, 4-year-old Ziggy crossed the finish line at our Kids Fun Run. Just months later, his family received news no parent ever wants to hear: Ziggy had been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Today, as he courageously undergoes treatment, his story is a powerful reminder of why we race.

Every registration, donation and mile helps Ronald McDonald House Detroit provide comfort and support for families to stay close to their children during medical care. We're proud to race for kids like Ziggy and grateful to everyone helping make a difference, one step at a time. ❤️
