On 16 June I will mark the start of another trip around the sun. I must say this last trip has been a real TRIP! It has all been good, in fact it's been GREAT.

So as I have traditionally done for years, I am inviting those who would like to recognize my arrival onto earth to make a contribution to the Coleman Legacy Scholarship Fund (CLSF). This fund is an IRS 501(c)3 charitable organization. Its purpose is to assist and support the pursuit of continued education by providing financial aid and high school/college readiness assistance.

I've been blessed and so far not in need but there are students who are. Please consider helping me celebrate my birthday by making a contribution in any amount. This year's fund can again be made through Face Book who will handle all transactions without any fees.

A part of what has made this last year great:
1. Although not fully recovered from my 2021 spinal surgery, with the aid of my arsenal of color coordinated canes, I managed in the last year to spend a week in Las Vegas, 10 days in New Orleans, 4 days between Traverse City and Mackinaw, take a 5 day Caribbean cruise with my family, and 4 days in Dallas and Boston. I'm only a little behind in my annual travel schedule.

2. Although not quite settled the way I would like, I sold my home of 49 years in Southwest Detroit and moved to a wonderful top floor apartment in Southfield, MI.

3. My family is doing very well and all are making me proud!

Whether or not you decide to make a contribution, please keep me in your prayers for another positive, joyful, and fun-filled trip around the sun! Thank you for being a part of my life!

Almost time for me to start another trip around the sun (16 June). I'm ready and grateful. Many of you know that birthdays are special to me! I try to recognize the birthdays of my friends on FB and many friends who are not. I check FB every night before going to bed to see who's having a birthday the next day and send them greetings.

Each year I ask family and friends, who are willing and able, to help me celebrate my day by making a contribution to the Coleman Legacy Scholarship Fund [CLSF] a 501(c)3 charitable organization. I started the Fund in 1998 after the passing of my Mom, Evelyn Coleman. The Fund has not missed a year of supporting students wanting to further their education. Since its beginning, awards have been added in honor of my Dad, James Coleman Sr. and my only sibling, Jym Coleman.

I humbly ask you to help me celebrate this year's birthday. Your positive thoughts and well wishes are also greatly appreciated, if you decide not to make a financial gift.

You can find out more about CLSF by reading the info below and responding to the invitation to join the CLSF FB page. Thank you for your friendship and stay safe.
